MARCY

From the time she came to Christ, Marcy has served the Lord. She began in high school in Alexandria, VA serving as a Youth for Christ leader. Then, in college, she and a friend, Keith Lancaster, formed the contemporary Christian music group Found Free at Philadelphia College of the Bible (where she graduated with a degree in Bible/Social Work). From there she began speaking at Christian Women's Clubs, Mother/Daughter Banquets, and served on Dot Worth's Women Alive Team in NJ and the Delaware Valley. She exudes the warmth and gentleness that comes from years with Jesus.

Her love for the body of Christ and her genuine concern for the lost combine to make her effective in both edification and outreach venues. Alone or together with David, she ministers with effectiveness and a thorough knowledge of Scripture combined with practical wisdom for everyday life. As a pastor's wife, she knows the local church. Her sensitivity and experience make every ministry situation fruitful as she depends upon the leading of the Holy Spirit. Her gift of discernment is especially effective in breakthroughs for people in small groups.

Marcy has written and recorded a Children's Musical, Real Things as well as six other albums, solo and with David. She is a writer and director with experience in theater and television. Marcy's articles have appeared in Cell Church Magazine (A Pastor's Wife Transitions) and in The Witness. She is currently working on several articles, a couples' devotional with David, and a series of children's books.

She has ministered throughout the US, in Canada, Australia, Haiti, and Brazil. Her knack for vivid illustrations from life and her humorous testimony endear her to those to whom she ministers. She uses that favor to point everyone to a deep, passionate relationship to the Father. See other's
recommendations.

DAVID

David Alves (D.Min.) has served the Lord since Christmas Day 1976. He served with an evangelistic team for his first year as a young believer. He then returned to graduate from Asbury College with a BS in English/ Secondary Ed. From there he served as Director of Outreach at a New England church and went on to Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he took his Master of Divinity. All the while he studied, he ministered in churches, camps and conferences with Marcy. Together they did concerts and renewal weeks and weekends in a variety of United Methodist, Baptist, Episcopal, Congregational, Assembly of God, Four-Square, and Evangelical churches both domestically and over seas. In 1988, he was ordained by the American Baptist Conference USA and in 1996 by the
Advent Christian Maranatha Conference.

David earned his doctorate from
Regent University in Christian Leadership, church health, transitioning and revitalization. He is a certified church health associate of Natural Church Development. He has spent 17 years in itinerant ministry and 14 as a local pastor. He currently serves as the Director of Frontline Ministries and as a Co-Pastor of New Life Fellowship, in Concord, NH. He has served on the International Missions Advisory Council for world outreach. Currently he is on the editorial board of "Henceforth," the journal of the Advent Christian General Conference.

David loves the Lord and loves to serve local churches and leadership with his gifts of prophetic communication and encouragement. He also writes, and loves to fly. His articles have appeared online at (Smallgroups.com and often in Cell Church Magazine and The Witness. He served as a staff writer for GodlyPlaces.com in 2006-2007. He has written numerous short stories, poems, and essays. His first non-fiction book, We're the 'sons of God' . . . So What?, was released in early summer of 2009 and awarded "Editor's Choice" by the publisher.

His passion is for men to understand what "sonship" means and to reflect Christ in their homes, churches, jobs, and schools, resulting in healed families, so that Jesus may be seen, known, and loved. He also wants both men and women to understand their high calling as "sons of God" (Gal. 3.14; Rom. 8.11)--Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Together, David and Marcy hosted a radio broadcast heard in Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and New England, providing practical-living encouragement for the Body of Christ.

RETREATS

David & Marcy excel as speakers/facilitators at Couples Retreats, Men's and Women's Retreats, Missions Conferences, and house meetings of small groups. Their relational, honest style is a conduit for the grace of God in these environments. As spiritual parents, God has used them to lead many into a closer relationship to Him. See Brian Abrahamsen's recommendation.

David & Marcy stand ready to serve you as the Lord leads.
